The Connecticut Recreation & Park Assn. has a long history of leadership in our state. Since 1950, it has been membership organization fostering parks and recreation growth and professionalism in CT. Today our membership exceeds 700 members and is diverse and active. Our association is the clearing house for employment opportunities. Our web site is actively viewed and is linked to many agencies in the state. We also partner with health, park and youth groups to share information and network with these groups.

to keep your membership current Membership must remain current during events that are pre-registered for. If membership lapses at the time of the event, the individual/company will be invoiced the difference of the non member fee. |

Professional Individual Memberships
Individuals working for companies or consulting firms who supply products & services to park and recreation agencies are not eligible for this membership category, a Commercial Membership is then required)
¨Professional Individual Membership ($95) – Individuals principally engaged in professional recreation and park services under public, private or voluntary group.
¨Professional Individual (Additional Membership to a Group) ($80) – Individuals principally engaged in professional recreation and park services under public, private or voluntary group. When 3 or MORE individuals from that Department/Agency are already members.
¨Professional Individual (Additional Membership to an Agency) ($80) – Individuals principally engaged in professional recreation and park services under public, private or voluntary group. When adding professional individuals to a CRPA Agency member group.
Group Memberships
¨Agency Membership ($399) – Includes a director of a parks and/or recreation agency with one professional individual membership and nine (9) citizen board members or community leaders at Association Community Leader memberships –
these policymakers (commissioners and/or board members). Association Community Leader memberships are for policymakers only. Do not list professionals currently employed full-time or part-time by your agency. Additional individual professional memberships from agency are $75 per employee.
¨Group Professional Membership ($255) – Includes three (3) professional individual memberships from one agency. Additional professional memberships from agency are $80 per employee.
¨Commercial/Service Provider Membership ($299) – Commercial, Private and Nonprofit companies that provide supply products & services to park and recreation agencies, and benefit programs to people in parks and recreation field. This category is not eligible for individual membership Includes 3 voting members.
¨College/University Membership ($255) - Public or private educational institutions which offer a curriculum in the recreation and parks field. Good for Department Head and ALL Faculty members (FT/Associate). Full member benefits includes 3 voting members. Student memberships can be purchased $20 each.
Associate Memberships
(Public Categories)
¨Community Leaders/Board Membership ($35) – Lay citizen members of recreation and park commissions, or lay citizen community leaders who are supportive of the objectives and programs of this association.
¨Associate Individual Membership ($35) – Individuals outside/not currently employed in the parks and recreation field, who are advocates of the parks and recreation movement BUT may be employed in related fields.
¨Retired Membership ($30) – Individuals who have been members of the association and have retired from service in the field, not working in other states in the field.
¨Associate Entertainer Membership ($35) – Individuals not professionally employed in the parks and recreation field, who are in a performing group/act, that wish to support the parks and recreation field through membership. (Companies/Firms representing multiple groups/acts must obtain a Commercial membership, or purchase an Associate Entertainer membership for each group/act)
¨Student Membership ($20) – Full-time students attending institutions of higher education (Students are defined as anyone who is currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in parks, recreation, conservation, or related matters, and is not simultaneously employed as a full-time professional. Verification must be submitted at the same time as application.)
