The Connecticut Recreation & Parks Association has a long history of leadership in our state.  Since 1950, our membership has been fostering parks and recreation growth and professionalism throughout Connecticut. Today, our membership exceeds 600 members including parks and recreation professionals, commercial service providers, entertainers, and citizen activists.  We also partner with health, parks,  and youth groups to share information and network with these groups.

Your dues will cover the twelve month period beginning the date payment is received.
Please remember to keep your membership current
Membership must remain current during events that are pre-registered for. If membership lapses at the time of the event, the individual/company will be invoiced the difference of the non member fee.

 

Membership Categories

Group Memberships

(Individuals employed by companies or firms supplying products, services, or benefit programs to parks and recreation agencies are not eligible for this membership category.)

Agency Membership ($399) - Includes a director of a parks and/or recreation agency with one professional individual membership and nine (9) citizen board members or community leaders at. Association Community Leader memberships are for policymakers only; please do not list professionals currently employed full-time or part-time by your agency.
Individual professional memberships may be added to an Agency Membership for $85 per employee.

Group Professional Membership ($260) – Includes three (3) professional individual memberships from one agency.
Individual professional memberships may be added to a Group Professional Membership for $85 per employee.

College/University Membership ($260) - Includes Department Head and ALL faculty members (FT/Associate) at a public or private educational institution offering a curriculum in the Parks, Recreation, and/or Leisure Services fields.
Individual Student Memberships may be added to a College/University Membership for $25 per student.

Individual Memberships

(Individuals employed by companies or firms supplying products, services, or benefit programs to parks and recreation agencies are not eligible for this membership category.)

Professional Individual Membership ($99) – Individuals principally engaged in professional parks and/or recreation services under a public, private, or voluntary group. 

Community Leaders/Board Membership ($45) – Lay citizen members of parks and/or recreation commissions, or lay citizen community leaders who are supportive of the objectives and programs of this association.

Part-time Professional Membership ($85) – Individuals principally engaged in professional parks and/or recreation services under a public, private, or voluntary group who work less than 30 hours per week. (Employer verification required.)

Retired Membership ($35) – Individuals who have been members of the association and have retired from service in the field  (Must not be working in the field in other states.)

Student Membership ($25) – Full-time or part-time student pursuing a degree in parks, recreation, conservation, or related matters.  Individual must not be simultaneously employed as a full-time professional under a public, private, or voluntary group. (Please provide copy of transcript and school ID with membership application.)

Associate Memberships

Commercial/Service Provider Membership ($315) – Commercial, Private, or Non-profit company that supplies products, services, and/or benefit programs to parks and recreation agencies.  Includes 3 voting members.

Associate Individual Membership ($45) – Individuals who are advocates of the parks and recreation movement but are not principally engaged in professional parks and/or recreation services under a public, private, or voluntary group.

Associate Entertainer Membership ($45) – A performing group/act, whose members are not professionally employed in the parks and recreation field, that wishes to support the association through membership. (Booking Agents/Firms representing multiple entertainers may purchase a Commercial/Service Provider Membership which will cover each act they represent; otherwise, an Associate Entertainer Membership must be obtained for each individual act.)
